sRGB Picture color mode setting not persisting

Steps to Reproduce Problem:

  1. Settings -> Developer Options.
  2. Toggle Picture color mode // Use sRGB to On.
  3. Exit Developer Options.
  4. Re-enter Developer Options. You'll find the toggle from Step 2 has been set to Off.

Any idea what's going on here?

How can I enable sRGB mode?

Frankly I don't have any idea.

However I'll help you think.

Read this.

My guess is that sRGB has remained in the menu and has been deactivated because of X-reality. (found in settings->display->image enhancement)

The are other menu items that have a broken link.

Fi if you do a search for local terminal in settings with the magnifying glass, you will find it.

In developer options it is not present, vanished.

Same goes for 'Turn on WiFi automatically'

After some research: this option was added by Google to be only functional on devices with AMOLED displays. As for most of the Xperias, adjusting the Color gamut option in Display settings to "Off" equals sRGB.

You should find the same answer in your inbox as a reply to your PM.
