Not found this at all. Not heard of anyone saying so.

I didn't but you reset your phone?

You should shake it up a bit.

  1. make backups
    1. using Google backup
    2. using Xperia Backup & Restore
    3. using Xperia Transfer Mobile
    4. using Xperia Companion
  2. do a software repair using Xperia Companion
  3. you will end up with a speedy device
  4. before you do all this:
    1. goto apps screen
    2. sort on date
    3. delete latest apps installed
    4. those are the ones that made your device slow down
  5. Good luck
    1. see you on the other side

How long after the update was it slow? I tend to let it settle and do its own thing for a while. The update to oreo is quite a major leap and a modern o/s comprises of so many elements.

Are there any particular features or functions that seem slow? Maybe we can all try and replicate and see what happens or what might fix it.

Hi

Phone just seems slow & sluggish in general

If you've done OTA update, and phone feels sluggish, best course of action is to consider advices above.

Easiest is to do all the backups, then factory reset and restore.

I've done a clean install via flashtool, and if anything, phone feels more responsive and fluid then on Nougat.

After a major Android update it's wise to reinstall the latest update, it should smooth things out

I have experienced similar issues, now it's very unresponsive on touch. I have made a factory reset, but it's definitely slower than two month ago.

Try a software repair with Xperia Companion and do not restore all apps, just the ones you really like.

A clean and lean machine performs better.
