Why do phone manufacturers do this? I just updated my Xperia X Compact to Android 8, knowing that some people have problems with it. So far I haven't had the wi-fi problem. I don't know about battery life. What I do know is that immersive mode is gone! Why in heaven's name would Sony remove that? Do you think we want less screen space? I'll have to use one of the third-party app work-arounds. This is just silly.
