Hello there,
After oreo update,i notice many lags which was not at all there during nougat. I always put alarm and if i miss one then they are still on my notification bar. I tried selecting dismiss option but it doesn't seems to go away sometimes its still there even after restarting.
Second, nowadays my battery is draining a lot faster than before(during nougat), a lot faster. I bought my phone last year of june month.
Third, when i turn on and off airplane mode then all of sudden Bluetooth also get turn ON after turning off airplane mode.
Please fix this battery draining and lag quickly.
I already installed the update or patch we got after oreo.
I am also facing the same problems. Sony will have to help! I think one must think before software upgrade
I think they think but I think it is merely impossible to avoid mishaps.
Manufacturers should think of asking users to do beta testing.
Those users (hey Sony I wouldn't mind to be a beta tester) don't bother about a few bugs and can help developers to find where the bugs are.
And even then software never will be perfect. Too many pitfalls inside those lines of code.
True
Most of these problems should be solvable with factory reset. Backup before of course. In disk install, Oreo runs even anothers than Nougat, and battery is on same level.
That said, I agree with Strampke , beta testing programme would be really helpful, wouldn't mind being a part of it either.
With some proper bug reports and additional feedback, some quirks could be avoided and lead to greater customer satisfaction.
Added bonus: testing in advance makes a lot of questions, if some update will be received, redundant.
Hi I have same problems phone very slow I've also had the Feb security update n no difference my phone was brilliant before oreo updates I've also factory re-set my phone with no difference at all. If this update wasn't meant to be good for the Xperia ☓ I'd of rather not had it ☹️
Let me add to @schetz about factory reset.
The pitfall is that backups restore all settings and apps.
Once the device was overcrowded and mixed up before the factory reset, I will be again after.
My advice is to start with a real clean install like @schetz did and gradually install most needed/wanted apps.
