Xperia X double tap to wake up issue

I am Xperia X owner and current build version is 34.3.A.0.217. I have issue regarding double tap to wake up and it is present since many updates, many updates received but this issue still not fixed. It requires many attempts to wake up. It is not working like double tap to sleep.

from what I remember, it should work better if you tap close to the center of the screen. also it's possible that a screen protector is making it more difficult to register the taps.

yeah, but there might be a difference in the way the phone handles taps when the display is on and off. that said, the best I can advise for now is to, as I said, either try tapping near the center region of the screen when trying to wake it, or see if anything improves without the screen protector.

También me pasó lo mismo con un Xperia x después de actualización 7.1.1.. es como si la sensibilidad no fuera lo más adecuada...me tocaba presionar fuerte para despertar...hasta que decidí restaurarlo con el Xperia companion ..y luego de ello se soluciono ...ahora el doble toque es inmediato

On my device DTTW is flawless.

Maybe you should goto settings-> tap magnifying glass->type support and do some screen tests (!:smileysmileywink:)

Just to find out if it is the screen.

Other test maybe to into safe mode.
