Icon at the right top

I've got a new icon looking like a phone with a quarter circle above after I turned off my phone and turned on again. It's not the usual phone missed or so icon. It's at the right top between the WLAN and connection icon. What does it mean and how to turn it off? Screenshot_20180201-134430.png

This icon means you have WLAN calling (or WiFi calling) activated and it's ready for use.

To get rid of the icon simply turn off WLAN calling.

Thanks :).

I'm kind of surprised that it appeared. I had WLAN call activated for months. But today is the first time I'm seeing this icon.

This icon shows that your phone is signed in to the IMS and that you are actually able to make and receive calls via WLAN, it does not appear merely by selecting the option "WLAN calls" in the menu.

If you haven't seen this icon before you weren't able to make calls via WLAN up to now. If it appeared seemingly out of the blue there can be two reasons:

1. your operator changed something (technically or with your subscription) so that only now you are able to use WLAN calling

2. something was changed in your WLAN system that until now prohibited the use of WLAN calling (or you moved to a different WLAN network when you saw the icon)
