How do I use USB audio out?

Im trying to get the usb audio to work on my xperia x compact but I cant. I have external DAC from cambridge audio that supports USB audio.  when I connect my phone to cambridge, i have 4 option : use USB to : charge this device, supply power, transfer files and use device as midi. tried all 4 option and none of them worked.

in the other hand .. my friend's iphone 5s worked like a charm as soon as we connected it to cambridge DAC, so all sound will now come through my external DAC wheather you play youtube,spotify,apple music or just play song from your local library

did i not do it right with my xperia? please help

First of all pull down from the drop down menu.

Hhhh

Than click on settings (the little cog icon)

Now go to system.

Tap on about phone.Tap your build number about three times,now under system you should have an option called "Developer options"

Click on developer options and scroll down until you see USB configuration, now select Audio source.
