Headphones not Working

Headphones not Working

My phone updated to Android 8.0 this morning, and immediately my headphones stopped working.

I've checked my headphones on another phone, they work. I've checked other headphones on my phone, they work. But for some reason the two together will not work.

I'm not sure if it's due to the inline mic & controls being designed for iPhone, but they should still work as normal headphones. It seems something in this update is causing issues with compatibility. Does anyone know how to get this resolved? Really frustrating that I can't use my expensive B&O headphones due you this latest update

@BNabs

Have you tested different headphones with your phone?

Hi Uliwooly

Yes I've tried some cheap earbuds and they work fine, I've also tried my move headphones on a different phone (still on old android version) and they work fine through that. It seems like something in this latest update might be causing issues with headphones that have inline mic/controls designed for the iOS that has stopped the phone recognising them at all

@BNabs

since those are third party headphones there isn't much to say, you could contact Sony directly >>> Local support

Updated to Oreo yesterday, ever since the earphones (beats) don't work with the device (worked fine before of course). Everything else seems to be working fine, apps, Bluetooth, speaker.. Just not the earphones.. Any suggestions?

Model - Xperia F5121
After update on 34.4.A.0.364 my headphones (sennheiser ocx 684i) stopped working.

Another headphones (without designed for the iOS) working normal.

Same here, updated to Oreo yesterday. My Bose qc20i stopped working. They are just not recognized. Using an iphone to otmp adapter doesnt help either, just a popup "Headphone not supported" How can i revert to 7.1.1?

Exact issue here, my Xperia X stop recogising my monster DNA with mic/controls designed for iOS fight after the Oreo update, the stock headphone works fine.
