Flashing lights on new messages/emails

Hi

I have Sony x.. .on previous Sonys I owned I used to get a flashing coloured light to notify me of a new message or email.

I don't seem to get that on my x.. Anyone know how I can as being hearing impaired the lights used to catch my attention as I have my phone on mute...

Check the app notifications settings, some apps have the notification light color option.

Thanks for replies. Not managed to find anything on the apps notifications for flashing lights so I presume my apps don't have them on this phone.

Apologies for the delay. 

I am using 'Messages' and 'Outlook'

In outlook goto the 3 lines top left

Then bottom left the cog wheel

Scroll down passing your accounts to notifications

For each account you can set notifications

Tap New email sound

Under Advanced you can choose Blink light (and other settings)

You can set it separately for every account you have.

On Messenger I don't know, check google search

Thank you Strampke.. I have done that on Outlook. Also, when I check Messager the flashing light option appearred on there so maybe they are linked. 

It's been a great help as I am hearing impaired so I don't have the volumn on but the little flashing lights catches my eyes so I know.
