I have this device since the last December. In these four months, i faced three bootloops and one disease to the fingerprint sensor that needed the software repair tool to fix and meant a lot of wasted time.
Total: 4 repairs.
Luckily they didn't happen while in travel because i can't have a PC with me every time.
I'm really, really, really upset with Sony.
I have just 15 days of warranty left (This device was given me in substitution of a Z3 compact that gave up working) and i'm going to face other weeks without the device waiting for the technical support because i want my problem to be permanently solved.
I'm so sorry but I'll no more reccomend a Sony device to anyone like i have done for the past two years.

Hi @swerty92, I am sorry to hear about this situation.
Please be aware that if the repair agents cannot replicate the issue then they will not know what to fix, so it's important for them to be able to do so.
That said, if the issue is resolved after performing a software repair, for however short a timeframe that may be, it would indicate that there is a software issue rather than a hardware one. It is possible that there is a specific application or process that is causing it.
If it does happen again, try forcing a shut down with the power and volume up, and booting it in safe mode by holding the volume down key as it boots.
It's also worth trying to remove the SD and SIM cards just in case.
The Technical Support Chat said me "If you have done the software repair and now it works fine we can't do anything".
Perfect... I have other 20 days of warranty left, I'll ask for a substitution because I can't handle the fear of not having a working device without having with me a PC to make the software repair. I travel for work and I need my phone to work.
If Sony doesn't give me a proper answer, i'll be quite disappointed. I'm a long time customer, not only in mobiles, and this would be the last time I'll consider a Sony device.

Thank you, I'll try!
From there to now i experienced other 4 bootloops.
I'm writing in the local 1:51a.m. because i'm going to leave for a trip today and i have to repair the software another time.
I think it's the most ridicolous thing i've ever experienced with a technological product. It recently has been updated to Oreo but it still does the same sh*t.
I'm tired of this company and this phone.
I received it because my old Z3C broke down.
I immediately experienced this issue and told Sony, but they answered me that if the phone worked fine after the software repair they could not do anything.
I will never and ever buy another Sony product in my whole life, i feel moked.
P.S. i tried removing the SIM first and the SD card after, nothing happened.
Don't be so sly to tell another time that the problem is solved just telling "Oh, repair the software another time", because it will happen a time i don't have my PC or just an avaiable internet connection.
I'm furious and frustrated.
