Hi,
After upgrading to Android 7.0 on my Xperia X Compact the phone can still connect to other BT devices but it seems like the discovery process is not working smoothly anymore. Have to restart mobile often to find other devices when pairing.
In my car I pair the phone with VW RNS310 car radio. I can still play music (Spotify) wireless on the car stereo but I can not select previous or next number on the steering wheel nor on the radio unit itself. Also the metadata (artist, track etc.) are no longer displayed on the radio unit display. When I receive a call I can answer but when hanging up the system doesn't go back to music. Same thing if I listen to Spotify and there is a traffic announcement - doesn't return to playing music but are just muted.
Really crap as I'm using this feature a lot and appreciate the need of not having to draw attention to the phone display when driving. In my opinion Sony should roll back to Marshmellow until the BT issues are fixed.
Best regards
I have the same issue in my Citroen C4. Phone will connect and play audio with a bit of fiddling but with no meta data and no next/previous function.
It's not just audio that's broken either. I can't connect to my x compact for bluetooth tethering either, to share it's 4G connection.
Hi,
I have the same issue with the Composition Colour of my VW Polo.
The smartphone (Xperia X Compact with Android 7) seems to be compatible with the infotainment system (http://webspecial.volkswagen.de/infotainment/it/it/mobilephone.html#tab2).
Regards,
Andrea
Have the same Problem with my Seat...It drives me mad...
Same problem with bluetooth. auto vw golf 7. Support says that it can't be! The phone 3 days and it's frustrating. On xperia C2005 worked well
Recently upgraded to the newest Nougat (34.2.A.0.311) as I had hoped it would solve my issues. Unfortunately it still doesn't work. Sony, please comment on your plans to fix this issue. Btw. it worked perfectly with my old Xperia Z3. Now I really regret I choose a Sony model again...
Bump!
Bump.
I recently acquired a Sony Xperia X compact, and this phone is useless in my car for media playback over Bluetooth. Firmware build 34.2.A.0.311, Android 7.0, car is a VW Golf mk7. No track metadata or back/forward skipping through steering wheel buttons. This all worked brilliantly on my old Samsung Galaxy S4 mini, so it is very disappointing to find my brand new phone is a worse experience. Things like this should "Just Work" in the year 2017 - please consider the issue in a future firmware release and at least provide a reply of acknowledgement here.
