xp home oem-disk ???

Hi,

When i bought my vaio (pcg-k315m) sony pre-installed xp home sp2. They told me to create the 2 "recovery" disks. but now i want to format my vaio and install win2000. Can you get the original oem-cd for XP from sony, in case I want to reinstall Xp on my viao. I know the setup-files are somewhere hidden on my hdd, but where?? Anyone knows??
Thanks.
Steppie

The files are on a hidden partition, but if you have created the recovery disks for your original operating system (XP Home) these will contain the operating system should you wish to revert to `as delivered¿.
A restore using these disks formats the C drive and returns your computer to `as delivered¿.

As long a you do not delete the hidden partition (only format the C drive) your recovery files will always be there but to be safe make more than one copy of the recovery disks.

thats my point...i don't want my pc to be "as delivered" when i reinstall. It had a lot of rubbish programs on it, so i want to have a clean install...just XP without the rubbish that was already on my vaio. where can i find/acces this hidden partition?

Thats what Sony haven't understood, they don't give you choice over the software.

The drivers are in the drivers folder on the DVD
