I am still experiencing that my resolution keeps changing after waking up. I have applied latest graphic update drivers and ofcourse the bios update.
Am I alone here? Someone else also still experiencing this annoying effect???
Hi fldq and welcome.
Have you tried applying the Sony patch for this problem?
Here's the link: http://www.vaio-link.com/cbcdl/7.15.10.9813a.zip
(The installation procedure is included in the zip file).

Sorry fldq, I see this revised driver is now on the FE41S Download Site
I presume you have installed it already. Are you sure it's installed correctly?

On my FE41Z the BIOS update and the graphics update worked fine so i find it odd when it doesn't work for everyone.

Doesn't seem to effect it at all. I never shut down my laptop, I always hibernate. Did have the problem before though as i got my laptop before the BIOS update and the graphics update where released.
You can use Fn + F10 to change the resolution back so its not as annoying as right-clicking on the destop etc.
I'm getting the same problem with my VGN-SZ4XWN/C model laptop. Running vista...
On wake, the screen resolution drops from 1280x800 to 1024x768, making it really blurred. It takes a trip to the control panel or a few stabs on Fn-F10 to go back. This problem doesnt happen with a restart.
nVidia driver is latest on offered by vaio support, 7.15.10.9754 19/12/06.
any suggestions on the best way to proceed with this? I am a newbie to the sony experience to please be gentle 😉

Thanks Matt - its a work laptop, so I'm a bit nervous about trying it - do the vaio drivers play nice with a roll-back if the new one doesnt work?
