LAN connection help!!

I have a Viao VGN-FS115S and I am trying to connect to our office network, but it will not see any other computer. I have tried both rj-45 and wireless.
I can see the internet but nothing on our network, can't ping either.
Help please

Try turning your firewall off

turn off the Internet Warm Protection on host computer if it is using Norton Antivirus (2005)

It was Norton antivirus Firewall settings, I had to enter an IP range in the settings for our office network.
Dam you Norton.
