XPERIA X8 Issues

Hello Everybody,

     Is anyone experiencing some issues with the X8,

I have a few problems with the X8 which I list below.

1. Downloading MMS settings does not work.

2. Some operator messages cannot be replied to.

3. The Music player does not have Playlist!!! This is such a let down. I don't want to be scrolling all the time to play another song.

4. When the phone syncs with address book from Google it deleted the contacts!

5. In Call volume is low, and the slider displayed shows there is some more volume left but it wont move anymore.

6. Can the SW prevent crucial things from getting uninstalled. I mean there are some system apps that could be uninstalled thay may cause the phone to brick out.

7. No Alert Profile are available, either silent or audible. Nothing like discreet or extra loud.

8. The Keypad slows down so significantly when the message thread is a bit long. It gets annoying to type. Also Some words need to be unlearnt.

Am I missing something as to how the phone shold be configured or what?

Other than that, the phone is awesome, great value for money. Although I wouldn't mind paying for a much higher spec version in the same form factor. I love my X8 more than this X10 or X10miniPro.

... I just got an XPERIA arc. Been loving my arc since May.

hi,

i have problem switching on my mobile sony ericsson x8. it just shows sony ericsson on screen nothing but that. Could'nt really understand whats happening. though i switch it off and on i sis no find any use. I took off battery, sim and memory card but of no use. please help me...

I would suggest downloading a File Manger from the Android Market, I use Astro and Linda but OI and ES file managers are also good.  It will either be in a file called Bluetooth on your SD card or possibly it went direct on to the main root of the SD card not in to a file.  On the file manager you can sort by date last altered and that will show more easily where the file went.

Hello, moderator. I have some questions about XPERIA 8 issues.

1. Does media player with free version are available to download at Androids market ? Can you recommend some nice media player at Androids ?

2. Does code memo with free version is available to download at Android market ? Because I'm used to save my important notes in my phones, which is confidential. I'm used to use my phone to organise my stuff. My previous phone is Sony Ericsson K510i, which it already have code memo application in it . . .

3. My housing area seldom have WiFi connected. Can I download the phone apps from Android (using PC), then I moved the phone apps that I had downloaded into my phone, XPERIA 8, as it connected to my PC, by using USB wire ? If I can do this, which folder should I move the phone apps into ? Because, when I open my phone's in My Computer, I'm confused with each of the folder's name and function.

Can you help me to solve my problems ? @_@

Hi, just to clarify .... some time queries are easily 'missed' especially in a long thread like this one, I would suggest starting a new query (if possible). That would definitely be much easier for anyone to pickup.

As for your question 1 & 2, Android Market is pretty user friendly when it comes to searching for apps, you can simply type in keywords like 'music player', 'media player', 'note', 'memo' ....etc. A long list of apps will appear, you just have to try them out. Don't like it? just a few taps away to uninstall.

As for question 3, don't understand what you mean by 'My housing area seldom have WiFi connected'. Don't you have a broadband subscription? I can't advise you on the downloading of Android Market's apps to PC and transferring to phone. But it is possible to do that for non Android market's apps.

im a new x8 owner and im having problems with the Market i am trying to download some games or application and it doesnt want to download its start to download for like 3sec and it stops its like that everytime i have download before 1 game and 1 application and from then it stop to download everything
Can anybody help me

maybe its a bug or a virus in your computer or maybe its a download skam... its much better to bring ur phone to somebody who knows how to format ur phone then update it
