XPERIA X8 Issues

Hello Everybody,

     Is anyone experiencing some issues with the X8,

I have a few problems with the X8 which I list below.

1. Downloading MMS settings does not work.

2. Some operator messages cannot be replied to.

3. The Music player does not have Playlist!!! This is such a let down. I don't want to be scrolling all the time to play another song.

4. When the phone syncs with address book from Google it deleted the contacts!

5. In Call volume is low, and the slider displayed shows there is some more volume left but it wont move anymore.

6. Can the SW prevent crucial things from getting uninstalled. I mean there are some system apps that could be uninstalled thay may cause the phone to brick out.

7. No Alert Profile are available, either silent or audible. Nothing like discreet or extra loud.

8. The Keypad slows down so significantly when the message thread is a bit long. It gets annoying to type. Also Some words need to be unlearnt.

Am I missing something as to how the phone shold be configured or what?

Other than that, the phone is awesome, great value for money. Although I wouldn't mind paying for a much higher spec version in the same form factor. I love my X8 more than this X10 or X10miniPro.

You should be fine with the Backup and Restore app, I believe you will tick all.

hi i have a problem withmy xperia x8 every time i turn the phone on it reads (home screen process com.sonyericsson.homescreen) has stopped unexpectedly. no matter what i do it repeats message every time i click force close. i cant click on anything because of this.???? help????

Hi, since phone is unaccessible, suggest Software Repair phone with PC Companion. This process will erase phone data completely (SD Card not affected).

hi, can i ask about this..

i run a song .. then i started to run my camera...

after i click the shot.. it hangs a black screen, then a smal photo lower left of screen only...

i tried to wait but nothing happens

so i used to click on "BACK" and "MENU" to previous

is the phone lagging?

hey people,
i was updating the software on my X8 when my laptop disconnected from my wifi network and the update stopped in the middle.
now my phone wont even switch on. every time i hold the I/O key it vibrates and the notification light flashes green and thats it. please help. thanks

my camera often hangs at first start then rush click to snap you should have like to wait 4sec to be stable then take picture

if you wont wait then instantly click snap there it hang at a black screen then a small portrait at lower left....

yeah there's nothing you can do about it to change that unless

you use another app

you can take upto 30 pictures per second and 5-10 pictures per second on low end phones like the X8

Hi OwaisK, reflash software again with SE Update Service. Here's the download link, http://dl-www.sonyericsson.com/cws/download/1/110/61/1317636927/Update_Service_Setup-2.11.10.7.exe.

Download to PC/Laptop, launch it and follow on-screen instructions.
