Oh and I forgot to ask but will the fact that all Rogers Xperia Arc's have locked bootloaders which cannot go into fastboot effect the update process via the method you posted?
fastboot is NOT flashtool
you don't have to unlock your bootloader to use flashtool
Remember
you can use the LT15i software on LT15 a and vice versa without affecting their 3G connectivity, just like you ca use the LT15i/a software on the LT18i/a and vice versa.
