What glass is used on the Xperia Active?

I'm buying one later this day and I've seen some awesome demonstrations on YouTube about how tough it is. That's what made me want to buy it in the first place. Can anyone enlighten me?

Also, when I asked a retailer, the staff said the phone is "water resistant" and not "water proof". Can you enlighten me on these aspects as well? I'm afraid that if I use it to take videos underwater and it breaks, they won't take it in for the warranty since they told me right off the bat that it wasn't water proof. Any ideas please? A quick response would be really appreciated!

Hi,

Sorry for being late...:p

Oh yes it's a compact phone with scratch, water resistant....and dust proof...it's a very hardy handsets.....

As far as I know...it's equipped with the Gorilla class display I think you're aware of it how tough...it is...or just try searching gorilla glass test at YouTube...

And yes...the xperia active is not water proof it's water resistant...it can be used under water at a max depth of 1m for max 30 minutes...

Here's the link...for the info...

Thank you @santam, good thing I haven't left office yet. Dizzy_Face

I know this might come off as rather stupid but it's actually my first Android phone and I was wondering how to use it with a mac? For an iPhone, I simply plug it in and do the managing on iTunes, so for Android what's the iTunes counterpart?
