Hi
It's very annoying to have musice player running in notification area even after removing headset and stop listening musice
Check the screen
Plz don't tell me to long press and force stop app to remove as it's not a permanent solution
Solved! Go to Solution.
I've just tried this with a T2 Ultra and when pausing the music or removing the headset, the WALKMAN disappears after some seconds. And it also disappears when I reomve it from the recent apps tab.
I suggest that you boot the phone into safe mode to see if the same thing happens:

Otherwise, I suggest that you perform a software repair via Update Service:

Download and install SUS on your PC, follow the instructions that appear.
One thing that you could do is to press on your recent apps button (the one in the bottom right corner) and slide the WALKMAN app to the right or left to close it. Or you can go to Settings > Apps > The tab "All" > WALKMAN (choose the app that have more data) > Remove the mark for "Show notifications".
Note that if you remove the mark for "show notifications" for this app, you will never see this app in the notification field.
well swipping from left or right doesn't work
but dont you think this is a bug in software
the notification should be removed automatically as soon as we stop musice
Are you trying to swipe the WALKMAN function in the notifiaction field? Because this will not work, you need to press on the button in the bottom right corner, next to the home button. From here you can swipe WALKMAN to left or right and it should close.
yes i know recent penal button very well which is aslo know as multi tasking penal or the button from where we can launch small app
but that is just stoping musice not removing player from notification penal
if possible get a xperia t2 ultra and test below
attech headset start music remove headset and see in the notification penal musice player wod be still there
the only way to remove it is to go app and force close which i think is not the correct way as every time doing this dont make any sance right !!!
so i think this another software bug
