Update Neo V ICS

Hi my MT11a SI (1255-1283) is on the list at http://talk.sonymobile.com/thread/38386 but when I try to upgrade via the Sony PC companion it claims I have the latest version.

I bought the cell with the version  - 4.0.3 (4.1.A.0.562) and is still with this version. It's not rooted or modified or anything... don't know why can't update.

Can you help please?

Thanks

yes you can use Flashtool to manually update your phone and as long as  you don't unlock the bootloader you will be fine, here is the thread

make sure to create a backup of your current firmware, all the info is on the thread

I'm asking because if it was used, perhaps the past owner flashed a different firmware that does NOT match the SI number on the back of the phone.

turn on your wifi -> settings > about phone > software update

It say that my phone have the last one updates.... i tryed to restore using the sony Update Service but it downloaded a rom (200mb about) and installed but when the phone restarted it have the same version.

There is a way to manualy update to the last version that will work with PC Companion future updates? (i don't want root or modified phone, i like the original one roms)

Thanks for topic. But the roms on this topic in XDA are from different SI... there is a problem? And i will be able to update with PC Companion for the next updates? Thanks for answering!

the ftf files are from different SI numbers so once you manually update your SI number won't match the firmware. you will be able to update with SUS or PCC

Sorry, my english isn't very good.

You said that even if I download a rom from XDA that is from a SI number that isn't like my phone, i will be able to, in future, update the phone by the SUS or PCC?

Sorry to disturb. All I want is to have the my phone like a retail phone from sony Face_with_stuck-out_Tongue_&_winking_Eye
