Sony Xperia S Native Navigation App Vanished, how to get it back?

Hi

Sony Xperia S Native Navigation App vanished, I probably uninstalled by mistake the 1st time and have my phone backed up after that, so even if I reinstall the OS, when I restore my settings, the app is gone.

It's a blue colour triangle Icon and worked flawlessly whenever I used it. It provides the voice based direactions as well. It's not Wisepilot.

I'm very dependent on this app.

Please advise how to get it back without resetting the phone, I searched for it on google play and couldnt find it.

the only reason this is not in your phone is if this feature it is not allowed in your country

try this

settings > apps > all > maps > uninstall updates > restart your phone

also

settings > apps > all > navigation, also check all the way to the bottom of the list.

After Google maps got updated the native navigation icon had disapered. Now you do the navigation through Maps

Thanks @uliwooly, that worked. I got the Navigation Icon back by uninstalling the update.

@subben2003 that's correct, the Update is causing this, I checked the functionality of the updated Maps and couldnt find the same features that existed along with the Navigation Blue Icon.

Wonder why an update is going backwards instead improving the functionality.

Anyways, thanks guys, I am happy I got the old functionality back.
