My acro S recently falled from my pocket to the ground and the plastic part at the bottom (back) fell out, I just clicked it back together and it worked fine. Just yesterday, I had it in water and was curious to see if any water would go in there, when I opened it, it had water. I'm just curious to know if any damage can be caused because of this... here are some pictures of the spot:
Any help would be appreciated.

To be honest, and since my warranty expired already, I have droped my phone on concrete and hard floor many, many times... and that plastic part fell off one of those times... and I was also concerned, but that part is not meant to be waterproof, the rest of the phone is...
Water will always get in there through the lanyard holes and you should not worry about it.
I constantly use my Acro S in the pool, shower, rain, wet hands, kitchen, beach (not recommended), and I never had a problem as long as I keep the flaps nicely closed (and sometimes I applied vaseline that's compatible with ethylene rubber).
Do not worry too much about that specific part, but always be careful of the flaps and the rest of the casing.
You should be careful as you could damage your phone and it wont be covered by warranty, in other words, keep it away from water
Have you encountere any issues since water entered there?

Thanks for the help guys, @alexdon, water has got in there about 3 times so far but I still have a fast-responsive touchscreen and everything seems to be working fine. Was just a little scared of water getting into the phone through that part. @dquilon Thanks for that, and yes, I always check the flaps for the ports/sim card/sd card before the phone goes in water, was just a bit curious about that part.
No problem, water gets there anyway, you just need to let it dry and it should be fine. However,if you ever encounter issues, contact xperia care:
