Phone wont turn on and dosent recognize my wall charger either

My phone switched itself off last night and wont switch on again. It wont recognize my wall charger the only thing it does do is, the red light illuminates when I connect it to my PC. Apart from thet its completely dead. Can any one help?:smileysad:

i have just tried to force the phone to re start and this does not do anything eitrher... the red light now appears if I plug the phoen into the wall charger.

Try to run a repair using SUS from here www-support-downloads.sonymobile.com/Software%20Downloads/Update_Service_Setup-2.11.12.5.exe

As it doesn't require your phone to be started or booted up, It runs in flash mode

whoo hoo! it's worked, my phone has witched itself on, and will recognise the wall charger.

Why did the phone just glitch out though? Will this happen again is the next question.

the phone is only 3 months old...

I tried to update the system earlier on in the week but the phone just kept switching itself off, and didnt want to know, so I gave up in the end.

I will wait and see if it keeps its charge, Thanks again Thommo

I tend to think of phones as a smaller computer and like computers they are prone to software faults etc etc - And like a computer sometimes the only way to fix is to reinstall the operating system as you did using SUS to run a repair - But i'm glad you got it working
