I bought a 32 GB microsd card for my sola mobile, but can't add more than 5GB data in the card.
I have mounted it on my phone and when i connect it to my laptop and try to add data to the card through my laptop, I cannot add more than 5GB to it.
Have verified its capacity and it can contain around 29 GB data.
An answer would be much appreciated
Cheers !!

That 5 GB is one single file or ?

Do you have memory card adapter ?
If yes then take the card outta your phone and use it with card adapter to transfer files. If you face the same problem then format the card using PC ( fat32 )
Then see if the problem exists
this is a limitation,
if you want to add very large files, you must connect your sd card by a memory card reader.
thanx 4 your advice
i tried doing that, but got the same result !
must tell you that the file system is FAT 32.. would you think it has got something to do with it ?
the Sola handdle my 8G music just fine.
Fat32 have one limit on fle size (no files bigger than 4G)
This might be an actual fault with the SD. What brand is that card ?
