Solved! Go to Solution.
I didnt check my log, but my NFC didnt work either at first.
However then I installed Smart Connect from the play store (had it disabled) and it said that Smart Tag doesnt work anymore in JB and only Smart Connect works now for NFC.
Tried it and indeed, it worked again with Smart Connect. Plus more features than Smart Tags.
ouch this is something bad. is anybody here experiencing this?!

woooo what a relief!! thanks man!!
noob question but how do you use SmartConnect with Smart Tags?
The NFC tags are seen as devices. So you hold them onto the phone and it recongizes them. Then you can select them in the device list.
you just have to open NFC in settings > More > check NFC > now if you have a smart tag just let the back of your phone (with the NFC sticker) touch and recognize the smart tag and taraaaa you can now use the smart tag using smart connect
I had SmartConnect installed
I uninstalled SmartTags, disabled stamina mode and enabled a SmartConnect profile and..now it's working
nice mate..enjoy the jb update!!
A little something else I just found out:
I bought some cheap NFC stickers and found out they didnt work with my Xperia P, because Sonys system saves all the data on the phone and not on the tag itself.
However I just found out there is an app called SmartTag Maker, which converts every generic NFC tag to a Sony compatible one (Blue, Black, Red, White, etc.).
Works like a charm.
