My loudspeaker doesn't sound quite loud..what can I do .. I saw that is a foil above the loudspeaker should I take it off?
Solved! Go to Solution.
The phone comes with a protection attached over the loud speaker but beneath the back cover. Very much similar to the thin anti-scratch protection on the display. This one should be removed so there should not be any harm in what you've done.
As for warranty questions you should contact the Romanian Sony support office.

I can however confirm that any phone bought in a EU/EFTA country should have valid warranty in all of the other countries that are members of these unions.
The e-shop you bought it from, do you know in which country they are registered?

I don't think its foil, but net to prevent dust from entering the speaker
Could you upload a picture of it ?
Don't you feel any change with xLoud on/off ?
Any other mobile of sony ( Neo , Arc or another Xperia S ( any of the relatives/friends ?? ) to compare with ?
I've just pulled it off 😐

The foil next to the Microsim card.
I hope that there is not a big deal .. I also have the yellow spot on the display
and is a product with 12W10 :-s
Oh god, another yellow tint..... hate sony for that
refer to these threads
In short, just run to your nearest service center to get it done
I don't have a warranty, they change the display FREE or ?? because I went to a SHOP that repairs Sony xperia and they told me that SOny is not repairing this type of phone for FREE and I have to pay 250 Euros for it. And sadly i went to a SONY CENTER and they told me that they don't represent the mobile phones 😐 ..
I live in romania.
I called the center and they told me first that I don't have what to do and I have to pay for the repair if I don't have warranty, but it's not my fault for the poor quality display and I read that sony said that they will repair all handsets FOR FREE.
And now the funny story of ROMANIA and SONY !
I went to the service and told them that officialy SONY told that they will repair/exchange all handsets that have the yellow spots problem and the guys from that service said to me back something like this " Maybe they change it for free in Western Europe, not in Romania" .. LMAO
I've spend 420 Euros on the phone and ..omfg .. sad my heart is broke and my mind is sad.
That's not fair, perhaps a Sony Moderator can comment on this
yes, it's not fair, and i'm upset because here in romania 420 euros are alot of money. and the service is very bad and the call center answers are the same .
hope that they will change it for free. 😐
so there's no warranty in Romania or how come you don't have warranty?
I buyed it from an site on the internet 😕 .
look up the EU warranty directive. If you bought it from a site in the EU they have to repair/replace it
