How do i know if my WT19i is updating

can you please help me,iv'e just bought a sim free ericsson walkman live WT19i & im trying to update to 0.62 but i ain't got a clue if it's updating iv'e followed the steps on sony companion & theres just a solid green light on my phone but nothing else is happening on the screen it's just stuck on preperation please help me am i doing anything wrong?
