Language selection for input from keypad

Hi

I did the upgrade to IceCream and after that I could only get Chinese as the langauage for inputting onscreen.

I have gone to Setup>Languaguages>English several times and chosen English but after that I still get the Chinese character as my only language.

Advice gratefully accepted.

See if this helps .... launch Messaging app>New message, longpress on Write message box>Input method>International keyboard.

That seems to have worked correctly. The phone was originally purchased in HKG and the original owner was fluent.
