Rooting "might" void your warranty. I'm not responsible if anything happen to your phone (nothing should go wrong,, if something do go wrong, just repeat the whole process).

I have a couple of questions would you recomend an install wiping out data in the phone or without wiping out?

and if wiping data is to be used would you recomend moborobo for backup? can the data be restored by it?

Do i have to unlock the bootloader and root my phone before flashing with flashtool. Or will the flashtool work with locked bootloader. I do not want to unlock bootloader as yet. Waiting for your reply

Dial *#*#7378423#*#*

Select Service Info

Select Sim Lock

If you see all zeroes I believe it is complettely unlocked

I was lucky, my Xperia wasn't locked. Just used flashtool and within 5 minutes, job done.

SI number is not important as far as I know. Maybe some apps can be different depending on where you live.
