how to increase performance of your xperia u running ics

Hey guys i  just did the following changes to my phone while playing around with it and now realise smoother performance of my phone and also its battery performance simply follow the steps below

• disable live wallpapers ( saves battery ) - i suggest that you disable your phones live wall paper and set non live one as this saves your battery you can select one from your gallery or one fromxperia wallpapers .. sony comes with some pretty decent ones
  

                                             do this by HOLD ANYWHERE ON SCREEN --> CLICK THE PAINTBRUSH --> WALLPAPER --> ALBUM or XPERIA(TM) WALLPAPERS

• always remove the recent apps - do this by HOLD HOME BUTTON --> then SWIPE RIGHT/LEFT to remove
  

• use a task killer app with auto kill ( smoother performance ) - this controlls the number of apps running to help clear up memory

• Turn on power panagement - this is a built in funtion in your phone. what this does is it turns off data when ever your phone is in sleep mode thus helping save battery

                                                  do this by SETTING --> POWER MAAGEMENT --> EXTEND STANDBY MODE

• use an app like JUICE DEFENDER - to save your juice this does work like power manageement but is more customizable, get it and you'll see why -upto 2X battery life   ( free but i suggest you et juice defender plus) --https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.latedroid.juicedefender&feature=search_result#?t=W...     

• select DONT KEEP ACTIVITIES - this force closes apps as soon as you leave them thus saving memory

                                        do this - SETTINGS --> DEVOLOPER OPTIONS --->DONT KEEP ACTIVITIES

• set a background process limit - this controls the number of background taskes running on your phone

                                            do this - SETTING --> DEVOLOPER OPTIONS -- > BACKGROUND PROCESS LIMIT (the lower the better)

• set a low screen brightness and also disable wireless connectivity such as WIFI and BLUETOOTH ( juice defender can be programmed to automatically do this for you )

1)There are many threads on this

2)removing recent apps wont do good

3)DONT USE TASK KILLER THEY DRAIN BATTERY EVER SEEN A TASK KILLED AND THEN STOPPED BEAUTIFULLY EH? THEY RESTART BACK ALWAYS

4)IF YOU DONT KEEP ACTIVITIES PHONE WILL NOT WORK GOOD. SET IT TO 3-4

Also if you use "SETTING-->POWER MANAGEMENT-->EXTEND STANDBY MODE", note that this will really disable a lot of background activites, including some task scheduler apps and wifi management apps.

I use TaskBomb and BetterWifiOnOff, both of which do not work if Extended Standby Mode is on, because it puts these processes on standby and does not allow them to wakeup to do their work.
