You can either use another Pc running XP, Vista or Win 7 but 32bit versions only as the Flashdriver is incompatible but I also believe that Microsoft has a Virtual mode on Win 8 which I think M/S has a free XP operating system to install to it but I can't be sure - I'll look it up[ and post back later

Sounds like either your driver isn't installed or you are running Windows 7 or 8 64bit

So you can run a program called Hyper V found here or it may already be installed but needs turning on - This then allows you to install XP etc to that virtual Pc, There is a downloadable XP from M/S but it says it's for Win7 only however there are forums which members have said they have it working - File is here or if you have an XP install disc then you can use that just remeber to install it to your virtual Pc once done you should be able to use Fastboot and Flashtools for the use of Unlocking your Bootloader and Flashing Roms and or the stock .FTF files

It's the incompatibility due to your system been a 64bit so it's not your phone and your Pc is fine it's simply because it's 64bit

You need to be rooted 1st

Then you need to install Busybox from the Play store, Make sure on your phone you have usb debugging enabled and unknown sources ticked then download this file here extract the contents from the rar file to a folder then inside said folder run the file called cwm-install-en and follow the on screen instructions - If all goes well when you turn your phone on a blue LED will show in the top left corner when it appears simply press the volume down key or up key
