Hello,
I have (of course) a list of contacts. And they contain the contacts that I want.
I have also set up my emailacount. If I make a new message and want to make a new email than I click on the pencil with the plus and than on the person with the plus to add a contact. But on this list are much more contacts and even of people that I don't want to see and certainly don't want to send an email by accident.
But I cannot remove them since they are not in my normal contact list.
They probably come from the address book of the webmail of my emailacount. I never use that address book but now I removed all the contacts out of there. But they are still on my phone even after renewal.
How can I delete all these unwanted and double contacts now that appear when I write a new email?
Thank you

I managed to get rid of them. I had to check all the boxes in the filter and than they showed up. I think that they were in the last one "other contacts" or something like that.
I guess you have Gmail, Facebook as well as your webmail set up in your contacts. Out of which I guess you are using gmail as your primary contact. If not then trannfer all your important contact to gmail and sync with your device. Then from Contact screen Press Menu, go to Filter and select only Gmail contacts there. And deselect all other. Doing so you will be getting only the important contacts in Gmail. Rest will be filtered.
HI Sagar,
Thank you.
I have Gmail that I used for synchronising contacts between Outlook and Gmail and than Gmail and the phone. That is the list that I want and that I have in my contacts.
The Email account that I am talking about is my main email account though. It is of our internetprovider and I had to insert the settings for pop3 and smtp (sorry I don't know all the exact names and certainly not in English).
As I said it is my main emailacoount that I use in Outlook to. But it also has a web version at my providers website. And in that webversion I had some old contacts still that I forgot about. And it is these contacts now that I want to delete. I have deleted them in the web version. But they are now still in my phone when I want to write a new email but not in the contacts list of my phone. I hope I made myself a bit clear here.
Thank you
PS I have not synchronised my FB contacts. Just the above.
PS2
And in these filter option in contacts that you mention I have:
Telephone contact > All contacts > on
Facebook > all contacts > off
Gmail > System group: My contacts > on
All the other options > off
At this moment I have not synchronized any third party wab mail account in my XP. So not able to help you at this time. But I will definitely have a look into it. By the way did you try to sync your webmail contacts after deleteing unnecessary contacts from webmail?
Thanks for the effort. I hope that someone else can help me.
But I have never synchronized these webmail contacts. I wouldn't even know how to do that. That is the problem. They are nowhere in any contact list or synchronize option. They just show up in the contacts list when I write an email and want to add an email adress from the contacts list. But at that point you cannot select contacts and delete them. Because at this point selecting contacts means that you add them to your "send to" field in the email.
Good to know that you solved your problem.
