Hi,
I have been using PC companion to sync my ms outlook to google and then to my arc. One permanent problem which exist is all the re-occurence events no able to sync from google to arc. It went well from ms outlook to google. When I tried to create a new re-occurence event, it works well.
Please advice if you know of any step which I have been missed out?
Thanks.
BT
Solved! Go to Solution.
I just tried to create a new re-occurring event and it works just fine (as you said).
Are you only having this issue with the re-occurring events that you've imported from Outlook?
If you try to creat the exact same re-occurring event (time, date, place, participant etc.) as one of those that does not work - will that look OK in the phone? Will it sync OK?
I will probably have to report this for some more thorough escalation.
I've not heard about this before and I believe it can take some time to determine wether this is a Google problem or a software problem in the phone.
In order to report it I will need the following information from you:
SI number: printed in format XXXX-XXXX behind the battery and on the box.
IMEI number: 15 digit long, printed behind the battery and on the box.
SW build number: Can be found at Settings > About phone.
I am sorry, I do not know what you mean by looking for other applications.
My problem is with the sync issue for calender and not contact. And it is from google to my SE Arc, is there any alternative application I could use?
Thanks.
Regards,
BT
lets just check few basic things
1) is your wifi or 3G (data plan) on?
2) go to settings -> accounts & sync -> make sure background data & auto-sync are on -> delete your google account -> re-add your google account
3) open your calendar app -> press MENU -> more -> calendars -> make sure your Gmail its selected and it says Synced, visible
Hi,
All the calender events can be synced perfectly from MS outlook to Google account. It just only when Google sync to SE Arc having some missing items on re-occurence events.
Thus, I suspect there is setting either at Google or SE Arc. I am using Calender 31 with build version 2.3.3. All the settings are set correctly as per your advice.
Thanks for continue looking into my issue.

BT
Hey BT, I'm with you!
Sync'ing my calendar is riddled with problems. I used to have a Nokia 97 before, then a week ago the Arc arrived. Like it more than my bulky Nokia for many reasons, though there are a few drawbacks, and this is one. Now I've got to use Gmail Calendar as an intermediary. Not an issue in itself - good to have a back-up - but just not what I'm used to.
One-off appointments set up on my PC-based MS Outlook 2002 (10.6863.6870) SP3 will transfer ok to my (new) Gmail Calendar, and then from my Gmail Calendar to my Arc. If I create a one-off appointment on my Arc, it will sync that backward to my Gmail Calendar and then to my MS Outlook Calendar, AND my Gmail Calendar will accept a new one-off appointment and sync it bothways, ie back to my MS Outlook Calendar and to my Arc.
Everything goes a bit wrong, however, when you start to using "repeating" appointments. I am used to using DAILY & WEEKLY recurrences - which seem to transfer ok - and I have some which recur FORTNIGHTLY or MONTHLY and these have been corrupted. I have tried taking them right out of all three Calendars (Outlook, GMail and Arc), and building new ones, and every time they end up becoming corrupted in one or more of my Calendars, making them unworkable.
I have also found the Gmail "GMT +1" clock to be corrupting the times of some of my repeating appointments. I have to remove the clock settings, and re-install them to make them stick and correctly sync.
I think if I were just using Gmail Calendar, and not MS Outlook as well, then I would not have an issue. The Arc Sync Zone, it seems to me, is designed to work with Gmail, and that's it! If you used another Calendar tool, like me, you might have to think about giving it up. I don't think the software works with a PC-based client.
Sorry for not helping you BT, but I thought you might appreciate knowing that you are not alone out there. Let's hope Sony hear our cries for help!
Peter
Hi Peter,
Thank you, is good that I m not alone. Obviously, I have been repeating in describing my issues, hope SE really spend time to read carefully on my question and provide me some advices.
Thanks for to be with me :-).

Hi Marcus,
I have tried the following replications:
Whatever you've tried, I cannot read it. Please re-post it if possible.
"Hi Marcus, I have tried the following replications:" <-- that's all I see in your post.
