Backup error?

My phone wont create a backup as it gives an error:

"The operation could not be completed, because your phone/tablet memory is encrypted."

Anyone knows how to solve this?

you can not decrypt your phone except by performing a factory data reset, erasing all your data.

What about the option of Settings reset?

that's not going to work, what I've posted above is the warning you get when you click on encrypt phone, perhaps you didn't read it
