Messaging Error SE Neo

I have a Sony Xperia Neo and have since tonighta problem with the "messaging" function - when I open a message history and wants to send a message, it simply closes the course and I see the general inbox. Message is not sent and I receive no more messages since then. Turn off the phone, remove the battery, memory card and SIM card were not successful. Also, the closing or restarting the app "Mesaging" did not succeed. Do I have to really perform a repair installation? What is the error? Write about Whatsapp works.

backup your sms if you don't want to lose them

then

settings > apps > all > messaging > clear everything
