Hello folks,
I had initiated a discussion on my Xperia Active battery drain problem. Check out the link http://talk.sonymobile.com/message/178019#178019.
The problem was battery draining from 15% to 1% and than phone shutting down. The solution which worked was to remove battery for some time and then see if there is any change in charging percentage and later on to charge the battery overnight or till it reaches 100% mark. Though the solution worked, the battery started showing problems again. I have observed that it happens when i don't allow my phone to drain down completely or remove and start using phone before it is completely charged. Now the problem is, i can't wait for phone to get fully charged every time or do have a time to remove/reinsert battery. I have to remove my phone strap, then 2 back covers and then again to wait for some time to check the draning trend. It is time consuming and in day to day routines, it is not possible to give a special attention to battery. Ideally, it should be charged as and when required and phone must perform till it reaches 0 percentile. So is there any alternate solution to solve this issue?
Thanks in advance

You might want to give software repair a try ??
thats the only thing you could do
Update/Repair your phone via PCC OR SUS
PCC (PC COMPANION) – Repair your software with this .First do the setup without connecting your mobile to pc.(only connect when you are asked to).
Do it as follow >> PCC > SUPPORT ZONE> SOFTWARE UPDATE> REPAIR SOFTWARE (written with blue)
PC Companion http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/tools/pc-companion/
SUS ( Sony Update Service) ... download and install it on pc and follow the on-screen instructions http://www-support-downloads.sonymobile.com/Software%20Downloads/Update_Service_Setup-2.11.12.5.exe
or
http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/tools/update-service/
Both the links are same
one of my friend is using the same mobile and facing the same issue. He has already updated his software, problem did not persist for some days but it started occuring again. And as i have mentioned, that is due to not charging phone till 100 % or not allowing it to drain down completely till 0%. If you charge in between, your battery starts malfunctioning. This is pretty sad with Sony Not happy
what is the use of 1000 new features, durability and all, if you don't have strong battery to support them? Anyway thanks for your guidelines and help.
I have upgraded my phone anyway with latest firmware. I will let you know the progress.
No Nabeel, even upgrading software did not work. It again reached 10%, then directly to 1% followed by shutting down. I wonder how Sony doesn't have solution for this thing. If you guys are also saying sorry and lifting your hands, then i am sorry but i really would not be satisfied with my phone even if has 1000 diferent features .. what matters is battery.. I am OK with battery lasting for a day or so but it should at least reach till level 0.. Here it goes down in hardly 15 hours. Just imagine you are outside, waiting for an imporatant call, your battery meter shows 15%, based on that you're assured that battery would last for that 2 minute imporant call, but to your suprise your phone suddenly shuts down and you're like what the heck was that.. This is not what i have expected from a brand like Sony.. I won't further recommend any Xperia phone to my friends stating this problem very clearly.. And please this question can't be marked as ASSUMED ANSWERED.. sorry for being harsh but company is identified by its customer service
