After latest Android update (7.0, build 32.3.A.2.33, Xperia Z5C model E5803) the visual voicemail tab in the phone app has disappeared. I still get vv notifications but no voicemail tab to see the messages. I've rebooted. I've cold rebooted. I've stopped and restarted the phone app, clearing the cache. I've also done that removing and inserting the Sim (someone on Reddit said that worked for them). I tried calling Sony (they said to call T-Mobile). I installed T-Mobile's visual voicemail app and that shows all the voicemails no problem. I would like the Android voicemail to work again though as I like it better. And because it is still giving me notifications, even though it can't show me the messages. Any fixes out there?
Found a workaround: you need to enable Xperia answering machine. It requires you to record an announce (I put in a blank 1 second one), just set its delay to the max (120sec) so your regular answering machine and announce will take the calls.
The missing visual voicemail tab reappears and every new voicemail is displayed in it just like it should.
