Z5 Premium dual camera only 8 MP in 3rd party camera apps

I purchased z5p two weeks back. But i am very much worried about camera MP. In specification and sony default camera application shows 23MP. But when i install third party hardware info application or Camera application feom play store it shows that z5p has only 8.3MP. I am very much worried about it. Let me know why it is like this or my phone has 8.3MP. Thanks in advance

I bought this phone for the so talked great camera, but I'm totally disappointed.

The pictures are crap compared with my Samsung s6 edge plus, and I can't use the 23 Mpx of the sensor in manual mode because all the limitations....the full auto makes crap pics both in 8 and 23 mpx. No third party app can use 23mpx but only 8. All the hardware info software detect a 8mpx camera not 23. I start to think that the 23 is a sony cheat and I propse a class action against Sony if it's not possible to use a real 23mpx camera.
