Z5 compact fingerprint manager deleted

I deleted the fingerprint manager on my Z5 compact by mistake. Now I don't know where I can download it and how to reinstall it.

I am sorry to hear about this.

If you go to Settings > Apps > tap the 3 dots > Show system, can you find the application called "Fingerprint Manager" application in this list of applications, or if you go to Settings > Security, can you tap on "Fingerprint Manager"?

If you can't see the application in the list and the feature is not shown in the Settings menu, could you try rebooting your phone in safe mode and see if you can find it in the list when third party application aren't loaded?

If the application is not shown in the list when the phone is rebooted to safe mode, I'd recommend that you perform a software repair using Xperia Companion, do note that this will delete all data stored on the internal storage of your phone so creating a backup prior to repair is advised!

Thank you for your quick answer. Will, the fingerprint manager is still in the apps list. However I have no access to it at all. All buttons are greyed out. I hoped I could avoid a system reset but it looks like I'll have to...

Can you see the Fingerprint Manager feature in Settings > Security? If you can, can you tap on it?

If you can't tap on it or its not shown, I'm afraid that a software repair is the next thing to try. I understand it's never fun to have to reset your phone and I'm sorry for the inconvenience this may cause.
