No Gmail notifications since update

No Gmail notifications since update

My phone did the big update on Friday, and since then I am not getting Gmail notificaitons.  I have checked in settings on the app itself and notifications are enabled.

Please can someone tell me how to fix this problem?  Thanks in advance.

Are you using the Email- or Gmail app? Try clearing data for the specific app by going to Settings > Apps > App name > Storage > Clear data. If you cleared app data for the email app, then you'll have to enter your provider credentials inside of the app as that will be reset. Once you've done so, make sure that the notifications are enabled and see if they now work.

If it persists, could you try removing your Google account under Settings > Accounts > Google > Menu (3 dots in the top right) > Remove account? Then add it again under Settings > Accounts > Add account > Google, then set the notifications up to be active inside the Gmail app and see if they work.

Did the Exchange app for Gmail get updated too?

Mine's doing this also. Will try fix tmw.
Also, other misbehaving since update at weekend to 7.
Data exchange really awful.
Not happy.
