z3 compact water damage

Hi All,

Sad to report that my z3 compact seems to have let in water during a recent rainstorm. I am absolutely confident that the port covers were shut as I checked them before and after the journey.

My question is - for repair purposes, how can I prove that the water ingress was caused by a what I suspect is a poor seal rather than having left the port covers open?

Sorry to hear that has happened 

The best thing to do here is contact Local support. They can help you arrange getting the handset to an authorized service centre for assessment and repair. 

The service centre will be able to carry out tests to confirm whether the ingress of water is due to a failure of any part of the device or the seals not being closed properly.
