Z2 microphone

When talking on my Z2, people say that they can hardly hear me. I did contact Sony who informed me that this is not a known issue with the Z2 and that a software repair should resolve the issue, however after running the PCC repair, I am still facing the same issue.

Z2 details - UK 4.4.4 - 23.0.1.A.0.167.

Any advice would be most welcome.

Regards

Steve

Hi everybody, I'm from Argentina and recently bought this phone. However, during the call voice the other person doesn't hear me well. I don't know if this is a microphone problem as when I turn on the loudspeaker everything is okay. When I send voice messages there are no problems neither, only during the phone call (if the loudspeaker is off).

Any kind of solution? Thank you!

Hi Luis1212,

I took the liberty to move your post here since your issue sounds related to an already existing topic. Could you try the suggestion that you can find in this thread?

Hi Hampus,

I've already try all the solutions you've mentioned but still not working. I've already called my region agent but couldn't solve my problem (the only solution they gave me was a hardware update), and that's why I came here. Really don't know how I could solve this.  Any advice would be most welcome.

Regards.

Back from SBE who have replaced the loudspeaker and FPC relay (although they can not tell me what a FPC relay is, or what it does!) and I am still facing the same issue.

Would be nice to be able to have a conversation where the other party can actually hear me.

@Luis1212, with PC Companion you can check if you have the latest software:
http://support.sonymobile.com/global-en/tools/pc-companion/

Connect the phone via USB cable and PCC will tell you if there are any updates available. If not, you can always perform a software repair to see if this can help.

In PC Companion you press start on Support Zone > Start on Update the phone/tablet software > Repair phone/tablet (the blue clickable link in the message) > Follow these steps without having your device connected to the PC.

Follow the instruction that appears in the program and do not connect your device until this guide tells you how to connect it.

Note that, if you perform a software repair your personal data will be lost. Don't forget to backup your data.

Hello, I have a question I bought this phone three years and five months ago, I changed the battery last week due to the charge being empty, then my voice will not be sent to my contact during the conversation, I restarted, SIM card I also turned out that it was correct, but again the problem returned, what's wrong with you? Is it possible for the battery changer to hurt the microphone? Thanks
