HI,
I faced this issue recently where I mistakenly took the sony magnetic cable and connected it in an incorrect manner to my xperiz Z2.
This was after the 5.1.1 update.
All of a sudden my phone wouldn't start, using my sony power bank and a fast charge cable I eventually got it up and running.
But now the battery drains like anything regardless of the least usage.
A battery which used to last 1.5 days with me now barely lasts 9hours without doing anything.
The battery keeps fluctuating when it reaches 90%.
A change in two factory outlet, specific z2 cables haven't helped
Three repairs , one re-image, two complete resets haven't helped at all
Second issue
The sound all of a sudden is drastically low,
I have the sony mdr-nc31e which seems to have a much lower tone than what it used to.
Again repairs haven't worked, the Equaliser doesn't seem to work any longer.
and the sound only seems to come from one speaker compared to an earlier two, this is the model D6502.
What's your take on this?
Solved! Go to Solution.
Well as Sony forums haven't responded.
I ran a check with the voltameter.
What was found is my battery didn't receive enough power and this kept fluctuating.
Gave it to a sony centre who stated I need a battery replaced.

Hi naliot, welcome to the community!
Some steps you can try:
Note! The STAMINA mode and Low battery mode features are available from Android™ 4.1 and later. Some products using Android™ 4.0, or which were updated from Android™ 4.0 to later versions have Extended Standby Mode. It is also a feature that reduces battery consumption.
If these steps don't help then follow @Uliwooly's advice. Below are some additional steps:
