Z1 completely dead

Hi there, I left my z1 to charge for the night and when woke up, it's completely dead. I tried the power+volume up key and also the other one with the volume down key and there's no response from the phone. No charging light, no vibrations. Is it maybe that I connected it to the sony magnetic charger? Cause I read somewhere that you'll need a traditional usb charger to do that. Thanks in advance.

Connect your Xperia Z1 to the wall charger > press and hold Power & volume up for 10 seconds > let it charge for 2 to 3 hours 

you need a wall charger not the magnetic charger nor a computer

Will there be any reaction from the phone I when I power+volume up key?

Sometimes there is but I doubt there will be until after 2-3 hours, so just press both keys for at least 10 seconds

Oh, that worked mate. Thanks. But still, do you know why these problems occur on the z1s?

I've seen reports on other phones, but it could be an app acting up, I do recommend that you backup your phone and then repair it with PCC, just to be certain

If anyone knows what apps do this please post. My phone just went flat and now wont charge/ turn on. Only 2 days old and my second xperia to die in two weeks. Thanks for the tips guys I'm of to try now, fingers crossed.

Well **bleep** me! lol After hours of trying with 3 different sony xperia chargers I plug it in to try the above and it decides to spontaneously charge before I could try anything.
