Hi @xXANGUSXx, sorry to hear about this.
Have you tried removing both the SIM and SD card from the device? If you haven't done that I would recommend doing so as a faulty or defect SIM or SD card can be the cause of this behaviour.
Should there be no change after removing these cards, try performing a software repair using Xperia Companion. Do note that this will delete all data stored on the internal storage of the device and since it can't be unlocked, you will not be able to create a backup.
If the device still just restarts over and over, please get in touch with your Local support team and they will assist you further with having the device sent in to an authorized service centre, so it can be examined by a trained technician.
Keep me posted!

hi jonas, yes i did actually try both of these. removing the sim and sd made no difference but the xpreia companion app could only recongnize it for about 3 seconds then it would restart again. eventually it ran out of charge and then worked fine but my camera now does not work at all due to not being able to get the water out fast enough so i took it to my phone company and they said it would be like $250 to fix or $300 to pay off the plan and then upgrade phones so thanks for your help but i am upgrading to the xperia xz premium shortly so no further help is required
Hi again and thanks for the update!
Oh, I see, very sorry to hear about that.
I hope that you will pleased with the Xperia XZ Premium and let me know if there are any other questions!
Have a great day!
