Xperia Z3 Youtube 360 cardboard problem

360 videos on youtube are playing for for 10-20 seconds then they freeze (loading).

I don't have any problem playing normal YT videos.

I also don't have any problem using other cardboard aplications or streams.

Anyone else is facing this issue?

Ok so I've made some tests...and it works if I start with a small resolution...the go up to 720 then 1080 and then uper. This is the solution I managed to find.

I don't know why is this happening and why on the same connection on 2 differet brands (Samsung S5 and HTC one) it works without problems directly in 1080 (as auto resolution). Maybe something limits my Wi-Fi on the phone or it just gets stuck by something.

Anyway, I'm going to do it this way for the time being.

Thank you for your support!

@Octopus2585

it works just fine with my Z3, how slow/fast is your internet connection?

As Uliwooly is pointing, it might be a bandwidth problem. Cardboard (SBS) videos are at least twice as large as their original versions.

The internet speed is not an issue. I use the same connection for a Samsung S5 and it works like a charm.

Do you have any antivirus or taskillers? is there a video you want me to test? I can't reproduce the issue.

Try to refresh your YouTube app then:

- Go to Settings -> Apps -> YouTube -> Force stop, Unistall updates, Clear data, and restart your phone.
- Go to your Play Store and update YouTube again.

Did you update your YouTube app to the latest version? Are you looking for it in the 3-dots icon on the corner?

I've disabled AV and made a lot of room on the internal memory and SD card....any 360 video acts the same.

For example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g_WZncx-Baw

You try it on Xperia Z3

I've done the update...but sadly it acts the same way. I have disabled the antivirus and cleared memory...and still nothing.

If you have any other ideas please share.

Thanks!
