@HazemB @Jake-SonyXperiaSupport also as an after thought, when you mention the 'Headphone Key' do you mean the volume key on the actual headphones.....depending on the make of headphones the volume/answer call buttons will not work....all to do with the actual headphone jack
No response for calls, for music, for volume or any other things
I tried to make the headphones jack wet it worked good but stopped after a moment

My headphone jack starting working after doing the above procedure
thanks for the suggestion
this solved my problem
I've tried all, from updating smart connect and disabling it to changing the TTS engine(which somehow is not available to change on latest android). Then I've tried picking the headphone jack with something like toothpick.. Still has not worked..
BUT the one method that did work was I've gone to the sink and poured water in to headphone jack, and then sucked out the water and spat it out.. While doing my smart connect reacted and it said I have attached headphones.. And disconnected them. Went back to my room for my standard Z2 earbuds ..and voilà ,it worked.
So if nothing works, pour water in headphone jack and it will work.
I dropped it from the height of about 1.5 m not even a scratch but it did not recognise any headphones. tried everyhing which is mentioned in this thread but did not help any of them. So I got angry and held the phone under the tap for 1 min. It is really unbeleiveable for me but it helped. Now works like a new one and i am happy
Earphones don't work on sony z2
Thanks for the Tip.
had dipped a cotton swab with water and cleaned the headphone socket.
after 2 swabs, revived the socket successfully.
can see some dirt and green stuff on the swab.
it must be the 4 pins are not contacting properly. (rust? condensation?)
Thanks for the tip.
A damp earbud clean worked for me!
