There's nothing wrong with your camera, if you have other apps, games and/or services running in the background the phone will heat up and to prevent the phone from overheating it will disable the camera, if the phone keeps getting hot it will shutdown.
perhaps you didn't noticed before, perhaps you have more apps and services running in the background now with the new update
or perhaps summer happenned in the meantime..
After the recent update to Android 6.0.1 . 32.2.A.0.224
my camera is not working. When i open the camera app message pops up that phone is overheated and need to be restart while phone is not heated at all. I did factory reset , repaired with PC companion but problem is still there. Can anyone please confirm that are you getting the same problem after updating the phone? Iss there any solution to this?
I can see how this might seem like a coincidence. But rest assurred, it's not the update. The camera functionality depends greatly on the ambient temperature. So could it be it's finally summer over there?
PS. there's a lots of threads on this matter, one of them created by myself where I ask users to post their TTS (time to stoppage of camera depending on ambient temperature)
I've the same problem, it's not summer now, its fall, the weather is about 19 c, please accept that it's a problem for this device and sony should be responsible.
It's a common problem.
