Vibration is not working

My Z1 doesn't vibrates instead it make a "tshishi" sounds. Is it a hardware problem or software?

Hi @Osegancy0, I'm sorry to hear about your phone.

It's hard to say if this is related to hardware of software before we troubleshoot.

I would recommend that you start with rebooting your phone in safe mode. When the phone is rebooted in safe mode all downloaded applications won't be loaded so we can see if any of them is the cause of this.

When the phone has rebooted to safe mode, go to Settings > About phone > Diagnostics > Test > Vibration.

Is the vibration working as it should in here, or do you still only hear the sounds that you previously experienced? If it is, one of your downloaded application is the cause of the vibration not functioning as it should.

If it not working in the diagnostics test in safe mode, try performing a software repair using Xperia Companion.

This will delete all data on the internal storage of the phone and reinstall the latest available software, so creating a backup using Xperia Companion before starting with the repair is advised.
