Hello Sam. I am replying on GerhardMuller's behalf - as this is actually my device...
We left it charging overnight, because the software repair gets stuck every time on the "Lose Your Data" page. I thought this was because the battery isn't charged at 50%...
Tried again this morning, and I only get as far as the "Lose Your Data" page in the software repair programme.
We're using Bridge for Mac.
Before you connect the phone to the computer with vol- pressed, try holding on/off and vol+ at the same time for 10 seconds to make sure that the phone is completely turned off when you connect it.
If that doesn't help, also try pressing the red off button under the SIM-card cover before you connect it and try another USB-port.
